Scope

This section deals with the limitation of voltage fluctuations and flicker generated by public low-voltage power supply systems. This part specifies the limit value of the voltage change that may be produced by the equipment under test under certain conditions, and gives guidelines for the evaluation method. This part applies to electrical and electronic equipment with an input current equal to or less than 16A per phase, intended to be connected to a public low-voltage power supply system with a phase voltage of 220V to 250V and a frequency of 50Hz, and unconditionally connected. Where the limits of this standard are not complied with when tested with the reference impedance Zref of 6.4, and compliance with this standard cannot therefore be declared, such equipment may be retested or evaluated to show compliance with IEC 61000-3-11. IEC 61000-3-11 is applicable to equipment with rated input current ≤ 75 A per phase and conditional connection. The test in this part is a type test, and the special test conditions are given in Appendix A. See Figure 1 for the test circuit.
