Scope

This document specifies a set of standard diagnostic services (OBD services) and external test equipment (including scan tool equipment) provided by vehicles, which can provide complete, efficient and secure access to all public services in any vehicle that comply with this document. OBD (On-Board Diagnostics) service. This document specifies the following content: --- The communication establishment method between the vehicle equipped with OBD and the external test equipment; --- A set of diagnostic services provided by the external test equipment to perform the services defined in ISO15031 5. This document does not exclude additional performance or functionality of external test equipment, and the designer of the external test equipment is responsible for ensuring that this additional functionality or functionality does not adversely affect the OBD-equipped vehicle (connected to the external test equipment) or the external test equipment itself.
