Scope: This standard specifies the grade, order information, production method and chemical composition, technical requirements, sample preparation, test method, inspection rules, marking and quality certificate, rust prevention, packaging and storage of ductile iron castings. This standard is applicable to ordinary or low-alloy ferritic pearlitic ductile iron castings and solid solution strengthened ferritic ductile iron castings cast in sand molds or casting molds with equivalent thermal conductivity to sand molds.
