This document specifies the material requirements and test methods for the buoyancy tanks of the inflatable buoyancy support system for ship protection against water immersion. The buoyancy support system can be installed in the engine room and/or cargo hold to provide additional buoyancy for damaged ships to prevent sinking or capsizing.
