Scope
This document specifies the materials, product classification, requirements, test methods, inspection rules, marks, and packaging of steel-plastic conversion pipe fittings (hereinafter referred to as steel-plastic conversion) for the transitional connection between PE pipes and metal pipes in polyethylene (PE) piping systems for gas. , transportation and storage. This document is applicable to the PE piping system and its components for gas transmission and distribution with an operating temperature of -20 ℃ ~ 40 ℃. The steel pipe part end of steel-plastic conversion can be connected to other metal pipes by thread, welding or flange, and the PE part end can be connected to other metal pipes. It is connected to PE pipes by means of hot-melt butt joint and electro-fusion connection. Note: This document specifies the steel-plastic conversion parts and their overall performance and requirements. During the steel-plastic conversion, the steel-plastic joint will not be pulled out before the pipe section at the end of the PE part yields (destroys).
