GB 14536.9-2008 Automatic electrical controls for household and similar use.Particular requirements for electrically operated water valves, including mechanical requirements (English Version)
This chapter in GB 14536.1-2008 is replaced by the following: 1.1 This part applies to electric water valves used in household and similar equipment or used together with these equipment. These equipment can use electricity, gas, oil, solid fuel , solar energy and other energy sources or their combination, the application range includes heating, air conditioning and similar purposes. This section also applies to electric water valves for various appliances involved in GB 4706. 1.1.1 This part contains requirements for the electrical performance of water valves and the mechanical performance of valves, both of which affect the intended operation of water valves. 1.1.2 This part applies to the inherent safety of electric water valves, to the operating values and operating procedures involved in the protection of equipment, and to the tests of electric automatic controls in or with household and similar equipment. Electric valves for non-general household equipment, which are used by non-farm non-professionals such as shops or light industrial factories or farms, are also included in the scope of this standard. This section does not apply to electric water valves specially used in industrial equipment. This part does not apply to: electric water valves whose nominal connection size is above DN 50; electric water valves whose nominal allowable pressure is above 1.6Mpa; food dispensers; detergent dispensers; steam valves. In this section, the following terms have their specific meanings when they do not cause misunderstanding: - The word "valve" refers to electric water valves (including actuators and valve body components). - the term "starter" means "motor-drive or prime mover". - The term "valve body" means "valve body assembly". - the term "equipment" includes appliances and control systems. 1.1.3 This section applies to starters and matching valve bodies. 1.1.4 This part applies to individual valves, valves used as system components and valves without electrical output mechanically combined with multi-function controllers.
